Logo Design Contest

The purpose of the contest is to design a logo for the ETS19 theme ‘Love Your Energy’ in cooperation with our amazing friends at the Peace Boat US. The Love Your Energy theme is based on respecting and honoring all the moving human, tech and cultural parts that make the way in which we consume electricity possible. The logo may be used in all media – including online, print, on merchandise and other visual collateral.

Why? We have partnered with Peace Boat US, the New York-based office of the international NGO Peace Boat, working towards promoting peace and sustainability around the world. Peace Boat’s Ecoship project is a transformational program to construct the planet’s most environmentally friendly and energy efficient cruise ship. Environmental sustainability is more crucial than ever for poverty eradication, economic prosperity, and social justice. Today’s technology allows for improvements that were considered visionary just 5 years ago, and that trend will continue. Peace Boat believes that the Ecoship will help set the example for energy efficiency, using solar and wind power to reduce the CO2 by 40%. Peace Boat US staff from New York will help to  judge the “Love your Energy” logo design competition and encourages creative and innovative logo designs that will encourage a shift towards energy efficiency and sustainability.

1. Individuals may submit no more than two entries (a separate Entry Form must accompany each submission).
2. All submitted work must be the original work of the entrant(s) and must not include, be based on, or derived from any pre-existing or third-party designs, trademarks, or copyrighted images.
3. All entries will become the property of Zpryme, LLC. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees that any and all intellectual property rights in the logo design are deemed assigned to Zpryme, LLC.
4. Except where prohibited by law, an entry submission into this contest constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, likeness, prize information, and information provided on the entry form for publicity purposes, without further permission or compensation.
5. Zpryme, LLC. reserves the right to modify the winning logo to better fit the needs of the Initiative.
6. The decisions of the Selection Committee will be final.
7. The selected winner MUST submit a scalable vector version of the winning design so that it is adaptable to electronic and print media, to reproduction on small and large surfaces, and to use in color or in grayscale.

To enter the Love Your Energy Logo Design Contest, eligible participants must:

1. Complete the Official Entry Form below
2. Create a logo design in .ai, .psd or .pdf formats
3. Submit your completed entry form by January 17, 2019

A Selection Committee comprised of the Zpryme, LLC and Peace Boat staff will evaluate all entries based on the following criteria (though other criteria may be considered):

• Relevance – Does the entry align with the theme and goals of Love Your Energy?
• Originality – Does the composition exhibit original design, creativity, and imagination?
• Aesthetic Quality – Does the submission command attention? Does it display visual balance and color coordination? Do all the elements work together to create a unified and appealing design?

The winner will receive a $999 award. The Selection Committee reserves the right not to select a winner, if in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.
